As an established team of experienced designers with an extensive portfolio of work amassed over many years in the industry, we pride ourselves on keeping abreast of modern trends and products, whilst refusing to adhere to a particular uniform ‘look’.

Crafting your ideal space
Exterior + Interior Finishes
If you’re updating an existing residential property, it’s often better to begin the journey there. This allows us to get a feel for the layout, flow and size of the rooms, so we can visualise how things will come together.
We will often play devil’s advocate and ask questions in order to help you understand what is possible for your space in terms of art, furniture, lighting and window treatments. We also ask you about how you will use each space.
We’re able to show you an extensive range of exterior and interior products at our Waikanae studio.
Many of our clients choose to use our experienced designers to carry out a review of architectural plans prior to consent, in order to highlight any potential issues that may impede your functional needs from being met.
Naturally, it is sometimes necessary during the design or build process to make changes. No problem – we can work with you to select an alternative finish, as well as update your tradespeople so that everyone is kept in the loop.

Curtains + Blinds, Furniture, Finishing Touches
Furnishings, furniture, art placement and accessories are what makes your place feel like it’s truly yours.
At Inspiration+Co. we can access a wide range of fabrics and advise which designs or colours would work best for your bespoke requirements.
We can show you the latest furniture offerings and arrange to get the items of your choice custom-made for you, with your choice of fabrics. Whilst we’re design consultants and not retailers, we are able to source many products you may not see in typical retail stores.
We can usually secure a discounted price, as wholesalers and manufacturers sell to us directly. We’re also often able to source products from retailers with a designer discount.
For items where we do not source the product (eg carpet, curtains, kitchen manufacture and installation, trades work) we can recommend quality suppliers and tradespeople.
We can solicit quotes on your behalf and arrange for reupholstering and upcycling of existing furniture.

Colour + Finishes
Colour can make a dramatic difference to how a space looks and feels.
We get that colour choice can be overwhelming. On top of individual taste preferences, you need to factor in the materials to be used, your existing furniture and furnishing colours, the size of the space, lighting (natural and artificial) and of course, what the space will be used for.
We have a reputation for using colour effectively. Working with the colour experts at Inspiration+Co. allows you to make informed colour decisions.
Whether you favour a neutral palette or bold, contrasting colours, a French provincial or New York apartment vibe, a contemporary or a classic look, we’ll be there by your side as your facilitator and sounding board.
Online Colour Consultancy
We are also able to provide an online design and colour consultancy service for both new builds and renovations.
Simply send us your plans and/or photos, answer a few questions and we’ll put together colour and finish options for you. You’ll receive a written specification via email followed up by a colour sample package, just as if you’d met with us in person.
For developers and spec builders, we can provide a range of colour and finishes schemes. Purchased in quantity, our online colour consultancy service is an extremely cost effective solution for your projects.

We have worked with many builders and developers on their show homes, spec houses and specific client builds, several of which have won Master Builder and Architectural Designers’ Awards.
We understand each of their businesses and the parameters of the homes they build. This enables us to quickly respond and provide schemes that suit their build specifications and their clients’ needs.
